Every time we played one of the new "compact" cabinets, the one thing we noticed is that more time was spent on size and weight, instead of concentrating on tone. But we have changed that, they may be compact, but they deliver HUGE tone.
The BLF series comes standard with your choice of Ceramic or Faital pro Neodymium drivers, and the Extreme models come with 300w Faital pro woofers. All BLF cabs are made with cabinet grade 3/4" Birch plywood and are completely braced to handle high SPL'S without shaking apart, or dancing by themselves on the stage. By making the baffle board, and the back of the cabinet 14" from side to side, the structural integrity is increased adding up to a very rigid cabinet which increases the performance of the drivers. The BLF series are finished with DuraTex coating, HF and Mid controls, dual 1/4" and Speakon jacks. They are made to the same high standards as all Dr. Bass Products. Introducing the all new BLF 2050. This is by far the most innovative and the best sounding 210 cabinet ever produced to accomodate the micro heads. The standard 400w BLF 2050 comes standard with either Faital pro neo's or Eminence ceramics. The Extreme model is a 600w beast also powered with Faital Pro neodymium drivers. Both are loaded with a 5" neodymium full range driver for better handling of the mid frequencies, and 2 soft dome tweeters for some shimmer, but they won't rip your head off! Awesome. That was the first words local legendary bassist Patrick O'leary said when he first heard his BLF 1.2 (he stacks a 2050 ceramic on top of it...oh yeah!). And I couldn't have said it better.
