"Bought the thing for a shared rig that has to make 3 bass players (including me) who have radically different styles happy. We all are blown away. The people at the mix board loving it is the biggest pleasant surprise as they are divas who hate most anything short of plugging into a Jensen transformer equipped passive or something as good as a Countryman active DI. The XLR out DI on the amp is quiet, has a ground lift switch, and is available pre or post EQ. Having the people
doing the mix like the signal is the difference between good sound in the house mix for you or them maxing out the "suck knob" per the infamous Larson cartoon.

What is totally mind boggling is it comes with a 15 point checklist where real humans checked the thing. The manual is coherent. Lots of companies I could name have useless supporting documentation and seem to have no trouble shipping you stuff to buy with all manner of defects including arriving DOA where had anyone even bothered to power it on, it would have been screamingly obvious.

The controls will get you most anything you want and are very intuitive. I can't say that for a whole bunch of gear, including some boutique stuff multiple times more expensive. The contour and compression controls actually are useful. The power section is the most solid 500 watts at 4 ohms I have ever encountered. Running a stack of one Dr Bass RxTreme 112 and a Dr Bass RxTreme 115 we got yelled at by the band for being entirely too loud. Got to love that! Tone with headroom rules for all styles."

Hey Marc!
I got the RxTreme 115 on Friday, and so far I couldn't be happier, well that's a lie, I'm actually sad because I have to wait a couple weeks for a new head I ordered to go with it. But really, the cab seems great so far!
