The first cabinets built by The Doctor were a pair of 112 cabinets back in 2001. I wanted a small light bass cabinet, but they weren’t readily available so I built my own. Since then the DRB 112 has been a staple of the Dr. Bass line. Thick, rich defined tone with just enough high end sparkle from the horn and you have the DRB 112. A Pair of them makes a killer compact rig, or stick one under another Dr. Bass cabinet, say a 1260 or a 1280. This versatile cabinet can do it all.

$499.00 Ceramic 4 or 8 ohms 500 watts 44 Hz to 20 kHz

$599.00 Faital Pro Neo 4 or 8 ohms 300 watts 45 Hz to 20 kHz

The original BL 1260 was designed for the 2004 NAMM show for a boutique amplifier manufacturer and since then has been the choice of bass players worldwide and has been my personal choice for my live performance rig since its introduction. (BTW, the 1260v pictured is my personal cabinet!). The redesigned DRB 1260 with its 12” woofer, 6.5” mid-range driver, and horn provide the distinctive punch and articulation it is known for, and now with its extended lowend makes the DRB 1260 the premier 112 cabinet on the market. And by your request, we have also added the DRB 1280. We kept the same cabinet and woofer but added an 8” mid and low output HF drivers for unparalleled mid punch and silky smooth highs.

If you are looking for a “true” full range 112 cabinet look no further than the DRB 1260 or the DRB 1280. You’re going to love the way it sounds!

The vertical cabinets were designed for better onstage monitoring. They have been completely re-engineered to perform every bit as well as the standard cabinets. They were originally designed for use with the Class D, digital bass heads, but are great for any standard head on the market.

"Hey Doc, I hope business is booming. I wanted to let you know I played a show this weekend out in northern PA and 3 separate people commented on my bass sound.
All I'm running is my Ibanez SR900 into a Genz Benz 6.0 and your DRB 1580. The results have been great. I was told that every note could be heard with articulation."

Thanks, Jon Z, Bridgewater, NJ

Here is what Greg Francis of Spring, TX had to say about his new DRB 410:

"Hey Marc, I played my new 410 at a small outdoor event, it wasn't even mic'd and it was great!  Warm lows, but yet punchy. My GB 9.0 shuttle was only set around 9-10 o'clock and it was boomin! Still can't get over the weight. Thanks"

Check it out: The next generation of 410 cabinets is here! The all new DRB 410. When I started building my own cabinets the first 3 models were a 210, 115 and a 112, boring. Then I noticed my competition introducing their "new" line of cabinets, and their "new" cabinets were the same old 410's. And they were the same stubby cabinets that projected directly at your ankles. One had Neo's, and a spray coating, (which by the way, was introduced by the Doctor in 2003, just another one of our innovations), the other had their "custom designed" ceramics and colored Tolex..WOW. Their next was an "affordable" model with cheap Chinese components, and "rat-fur covering...sic....I thought my head was going to explode. The same old thing over and over again, and it is still going on...UGH!

Well let's try something different. How about we take the cabinet, make it thinner say about 21" wide and taller, 31" high for better on-stage monitoring and then load it with 4-Faital Pro 10" ceramic drivers and weigh it in at 56 pounds, and you have the new Dr. Bass DRB 410. This bad boy is the 410 you have been looking for, the one you have always wanted. From it's deep, warm low end tight mids and smooth sparkling highs.

And best of all, it is completely handcrafted in the USA.

The Acclaimed DRB 2460 actually was designed by a customer suggestion, as most of our cabinets are. The DRB 2460 with its 2-12” woofers, 6.5” mid-range driver and 3” horn has stood the test of time, originally introduced in 2004, it has been our best seller ever since. Bass Guitar Magazine UK Sept 2008 said: Pros; deep tight focused tone, very articulate, lightweight. Cons: NONE. We couldn’t have said it any better…Try one, you will be glad you did!

DRB 2460

You know the old saying, and I'm sure you’ve probably heard it a million times before; “Often copied, but never duplicated”, well it certainly applies here. Probably the most copied cabinet designed by The Doctor is the one and only original DRB 1580. This cabinet gives players the best of all worlds. The deep vintage tone that you can get only with a 15” driver, and then you add in the 8” mid-range driver and the horn, and this tri-ported cabinet will rock or funk and most definitely will groove with the best of them. I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery!

Here is what Rich H. of Bourne, MA had to say about his new DRB 410:

"Marc, Thanks for the excellent cabinet....It fits all my criteria as listed:

1) It fits in the trunk of my Camry

2) Sturdy non "rat-fur" finish

3) Front porting

4) Manageable weight

Is tall so it doubles as a seat! Love the way it sounds, way better than my 410 Markbass rear port short fat boom box! I will continue to recommend you to students and bassists I know. Thanks RH!"

When I designed the original BL 115, it seemed every single 115 cabinet on the market at the time used the same 350 watt driver, it was available to manufacturers for $17.00, that didn’t go deep enough, so everyone stuck it in a cabinet that was too big with a shelf port at the bottom and the biggest complaint was “I can’t here it on stage”. How about taking a good driver, that hits the proper frequencies, and tuning the cabinet and the driver together? DUH! That is the DRB 115. One thing most players don’t realize, is just how sweet the mids are from a properly designed 115 cabinet. Stack 2 of these for a monster rig, or pick one up in 4 ohms for a killer standalone rig or put one under any of the other cabinets in the DRB line for a monster rig, making it one of the most versatile cabinets on the market.
